Cookie Policy

This page explains what is stored on your device when you visit stampr.es and why, under Article 22.2 of Spanish Law 34/2002 (LSSI CE) and the General Data Protection Regulation.

In short

Stampr uses no advertising, profiling, or third party tracking cookies. The only things we store in your browser are two preference values that you trigger by using the site. That is why you will not see a cookie banner asking for consent: the law exempts strictly necessary storage and user chosen preferences from prior consent.

What a cookie is

A cookie is a small file a site stores in your browser to remember something between pages or between visits. The law treats other forms of device storage the same way, including the browser's local storage, so this page covers all of them together.

What this site stores

  • NEXT_LOCALE (cookie). Remembers the language you chose so you do not have to pick it again. Set when you choose a language. First party and preference based, exempt from consent.
  • stampr_lang_prompt_dismissed (local storage). Remembers that you dismissed the notice offering the site in your language, so it is not shown again. Stored only if you dismiss that notice. First party and preference based, exempt from consent.
  • Application session cookies. Some paths on this domain (the counter scanner, the public pass page, and the API) are served by the Stampr application from app.stampr.es. If you use those paths, the application sets the session cookie it needs to keep you signed in. This is strictly necessary to deliver the service you asked for.

Audience and performance measurement

We use Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to see which pages are visited and how fast they load. Neither sets a cookie, and neither creates a persistent identifier that could follow you between sites or between visits. They process aggregate request data such as the page visited, approximate country, and device type.

The provider is Vercel Inc., acting as a processor on our behalf. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used and keeping it fast, weighed against your right not to be tracked, which is preserved here because the measurement is not individual.

Why there is no cookie banner

Prior consent is only required for storage that is not necessary to deliver the service, such as advertising, profiling, or analytics that identifies a person. None of that happens here. If we ever add tools of that kind, this site will show a notice asking for your consent before they run, and this page will be updated with the detail.

Controlling this from your browser

You can delete or block storage for any site from your browser settings. Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge all allow this in their privacy section. If you clear what this site stores, we will ask for your language again and the language notice may reappear. Blocking storage does not stop you browsing the site.
